The approach to EAP Services

In order to identify employee problems in their early stages and minimize the impact in the workplace, PAE takes an integrated approach to EAP services.

After an initial assessment of the organizations requirements, a tailored program is designed to suit the specific needs for the organization, combining elements of training, education, promotion, and crisis
intervention with a full range of assistance related services, for employees and their families.

The methodology works on two levels.

	First, a program is developed to improve the skills of management and supervision at the organization, to manage constructively behavioural problems that might dirsrupt the workplace.
	Then a preventive approach is developed: A set of diagnostic and counseling services for employees and family members are set up, with the goal to encourage employees to seek help voluntarily, before their jobs are affected.

The types of personal problems most frequently presented by employees accessing the EAP service are:

	Marital and/or family problems
	Employee substance abuse
	Family member’s substance abuse
	Stress - job related, personal or both
	Emotional and psychological (i.e. anxiety, depression)

By working on this consultative, tailored approach, a cost effective solution is obtained, that targets the immediate needs of the organization while at the same time, develops the awareness to seek help for personal behavioral problems in a timely manner.

This way companies realize significant benefits from the Employee Assitance Pogram.
